The Audio Reel is finally complete and is both on my YouTube page, and updated here on the Website. It was a blast to make and if I find more time I hope to do more voices and characters, considering most people think I do so many in real life anyway. I head for L.A. on Saturday and can't wait to get out there and get a feel for the city and the people. We have a lot of exciting events lined up for the week, but most importantly I hope I can take time to just have fun and focus on my scene for Showcase.
Finally after much work and preparation (and reliable internet, thank you University), my demo clips from my first scene have been successfully uploaded to YouTube. My hope is to have the other scene and some audio clips up by the end of the week, but with the Holiday coming up we shall see how well those plans turn out. I'm currently being pulled in a lot of different directions, but the important thing is that mailings are going out, the website has been updated, and there are lovely clips for all to see. The Improv show went really well and we can't wait for the next one. Barestage is also in preparation for our first show when we get back from the Holiday and then we start work on our performance for the University. UCYA is moving forward with it's merger with UTD and becoming affiliated with the campus to better serve the students. Pajama Game opens next week, and I head off to L.A. after that, but not before I take a quick trip up to Chicago to make a much needed stop in on some friends I haven't seen in quite some time. Still staying busy, but I'd probably hate it if I had nothing to do so instead of complaining I'll end the update here and get back to work.
Recieved a DVD in the mail this past week of the Independent Film I was a part of right after graduating from High School. I worked in pretty much every respect associated with filming that they needed someone to help with. My imdb credit is as "The Dancing Pig"; I was actually used as an extra several times throughout the filming process. Maybe you should buy the movie and play a game of "Where's Waldo." Or you could just enjoy the movie, considering it's won some awards.
The Audio Reel is coming along and there are a few monologues, scenes and personal projects that should be making their way onto this site and my Youtube page within the next month or two. Barestage has edited its script and is starting to look at some reblocking of some scenes for our middle school performances that will be coming up in March and April. Just this past Friday Grin-and-Bear-It performed as the Skinny Improv downtown against the Hometeam vs. the world. We had a blast and hope we can do it again in the future. The performance time for the LA Showcase on the 17th and the Matrix Theatre has been shifted back thirty minutes from 7:30 to 8:00 pm. There will also be an open dress rehearsal on the same day, but the time has yet to be determined.
Just finished updating the web page and will soon be doing the same for my Youtube and Facebook networks. The next goal is to get some video and audio clips up, and of course to keep preparing for the 2013 LA Showcase on April 17th.
